I created this instructional video in order to teach my students concepts about the history of U.S. government. To create this video, I used WeVideo to put together the pictures I took and to add in audio. This video is an engaging tool for my students to use because I added the idea that we were time traveling to learn about history. I anticipate that the students will enjoy this video because it uses imagination and creativity. The video is efficient because it gives a brief look into the history of the government in a concise way. In this same way, the video is effective because the students will take the most important knowledge from the video. I am very proud of the video that I created because I feel that it provides the most important information for the students in a fun way.
A production task that I created for my students uses the technology tool Story Bird. This site allows students to use related pictures in order to tell a story. The tool used is very enhancing to learning because the students are able to see their ideas and stories come to life. For similar reasons, Story Bird is also engaging for the students because the website provides beautiful pictures to bring the student's story to life. The students love working with the software, because it is efficient and easy to use. Using this tool is efficient because the pictures are already organized into topics, so the students can easily find pictures to tell their story. I love this lesson plan because the students have so much fun creating their own stories!
In order to create an effective classroom management plan that addresses the use of technology in the classroom, I created a Piktochart! Using a Piktochart enabled me to display the most important guidelines in a way that is visually appealing to the students in the classroom. Having my guidelines displayed in my classroom allows me to hold my students accountable for their use of technology. If a rule is not being followed, I can directly point out where the rule was shown in the classroom. Piktochart is a great tool that is efficient, effective, and engaging. The tool is easy to use and provides clear information displayed in fun way! For these reasons, I love using Piktochart in my classroom and I am proud of the final product that I can display.
Symbaloo is a resource that I used to create a short cut to any and all important websites. This tool is extremely efficient because anything that is important to our class can be accessed through my website! I enjoy using Symbaloo because of its efficiency. All you have to is click one of the above icons and you are immediately redirected to the website. Symbaloo is also a very effective tool for my classroom because the students can access information that we use in cIass anywhere. I am proud of the web mix that I created because it reflects the technology we use in our classroom. I am excited to continue to use Symbaloo as a tool in our classroom for its accessibility!
In order to create this visually appealing newsletter I used the website Smore.com! This website was very fun and easy to use. By putting information about myself and my classroom into this newsletter, parents and students will be able to get a glimpse into the school year. This tool benefits my classroom by its efficiency and effectiveness. The tool is simple to put information into and the end product is beautiful! Smore.com is also effective because it informs the parents of what is going on in the classroom quickly. I enjoyed using this tool because of how easy yet rewarding it is!

In order to promote the Hour of Code, I completed a task that allowed me to explore coding! This is a great website that allows students to explore the art of coding and understand how it works. The website gives an example of song lyrics that needs to be compressed into less symbols. To the left of the lyrics you are able to type in words that will correspond with symbols. This makes coding a fun game to see how many words you can compress! This tool shows students that coding is a fun learning experience rather than intimidating.
